Veterinary Assistance

We know funding doesn’t ensure one patient life over another; but it does ensure that more patients are given a chance to fight, and giving any animal a fair fight against all they are subject to lies at the heart of why this profession exists.

How It Works

  •

    Client Eligibility

    i.               Owners must first apply for third party loans (CareCredit & Scratch pay) and provide proof of denial.

ii.             Owners must be experiencing financial hardship which impairs them from paying in full for medical services.

    Patient Eligibility

    i.               The patient must, in all medical likelihood, recover with little damage to their long-term quality of life.

ii.             Single intervention treatment must provide better than average opportunity for recovery.

    Ineligible Cases

    i.               Diagnostics

    ii.             Preventative medicine

iii.            One household more than once

iv.            Temporary or long-term treatment of chronic disease

  • Eligible cases will only be approved for funding if nominated by a TAH staff member. Cases are presented to the board for consideration. In time sensitive cases, a decision will try to be made in a timely manner conducive to immediate treatment. In less urgent cases, the decision may not be made the same day, but the board will reach out with an answer.

  • Cases will be reviewed as they are presented, with an answer being made the same day, or the same week. The amount of funding allotted to each case will depend on what’s available in the fund, the clients financial ability, and the cost of services needed.
